In 1814 the painter J.M.W. Turner built Solus Lodge in Sandycoombe Road. The house survives as Sandycoombe Lodge. Many Victorian houses remain. Kilmorey Mausoleum is on the northern extremities of St Margarets, near the border with Isleworth. It is a Grade II listed building and was built in the 1850s by the Earl of Kilmorey for his mistress. She died from heart disease a few years later and the Mausoleum was originally erected in Brompton Cemetery before being moved to St Margarets..
